Actor Karen Gillan is excited to reprise her Guardians of the Galaxy role in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe project Thor: Love and Thunder.

The Scottish actor, who has played intergalactic warrior Nebula in two Guardians of the Galaxy movies as well as Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, confirmed her casting in the fourth Thor film.

The fan had asked if she had cut her hair to prepare for Nebula and she responded with a “yes”.

“Cut (her hair) the other day in preparation for Nebula so that we don’t have to, like, get so much hair into the bald cap, because I have so much hair it’s unbelievable like it’s just so thick,” she said.

Filmmaker Taika Waititi is directing the upcoming fourth installment, which marks Australian star Chris Hemsworth’s return as the nominal superhero.

Actors Natalie Portman and Tessa Thompson are reprising their roles of Jane Foster and Valkyrie, respectively.

Hollywood star Christian Bale, Jaimie Alexander, and Matt Damon are also part of the cast along with Chris Pratt appearing as his Guardian of the Galaxy character Star-Lord.

Thor: Love and Thunder is scheduled to be released on May 6, 2022

Actor Tom Holland thought he’d be fired from the Marvel Cinematic Universe after making his debut as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War. He said that there was a period when he didn’t hear from anyone about his future in the franchise and wasn’t sure he’d be invited back.

The actor makes the declaration in the latest installment of Variety’s Actors on Actors series. He was in conversation with Daniel Kaluuya.

He said, “From the moment of shooting Civil War to Spider-Man: Homecoming, I was persuaded that they were going to fire me. I don’t know why. Civil War hadn’t come out yet, and I just didn’t hear anything from anyone. I can’t really explain it. It was dreadful, but they didn’t — obviously. It’s been crazy, mate. I’ve loved every minute of it.”

Holland redeems his role as Spider-Man in two solo films and two Avengers films. He is currently shooting for the third Spider-Man movie.

He also recalled the ‘terrible’ audition process for the role, which lasted seven months and cover six rounds, culminating with a screen test opposite Robert Downey Jr.

“They always tell you that you did a great job and they will be in touch, and then six weeks go by and you’re just waiting and waiting,” Holland said.

After that, he was called in for another audition with Chris Evans. He said that he learned that he landed the job along with the rest of the world when he read an article confirming it.

Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt prepared for Doug Liman’s action epic Edge of Tomorrow. The film has many fans. And there have been discussions about plans for Edge of Tomorrow 2 over the years, but it’s still unclear if or when the trio would return for another time-twisted alien war movie.

Doug Liman’s latest film, Locked Down, just came out on HBO Max, and between promoting the film Quarantine directed by Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor, the director talked about what would accelerate the development of an Edge of Tomorrow sequel. . In his words to Collider:

It’s one of those things where if Tom, Emily, and I say, “We’re ready to pull the trigger on this script,” we’re Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, the movie gets started.

To that end, Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt are pretty busy right now. Liman is ready to rework with Cruise and go into space (seriously, real space!) For a groundbreaking film, which is expected to be shot later this year. And Emily Blunt is still working hard on another project, currently with A Quiet Place Part II and Jungle Cruise coming out this year.

Warner Bros is officially moving ahead with ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory‘ prequel, titled ‘Wonka’. Paul King of ‘Paddington’ fame will tackle the movie, which will debut in theatres on March 17, 2023.

Simon Rich, has a script of this project, will follow “a young Willy Wonka and his adventures prior to opening the world’s most famous chocolate factory.” David Heyman, whose credits include the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise and ‘Paddington’, is backing the movie.

Based on Roald Dahl’s popular children’s book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the classic story follows a poor boy named Charlie, who is one of five youngsters to win a golden ticket to tour the world-renowned, yet highly secretive, chocolate factory run by Willy Wonka.

According to Filmiere.com, the makers of the project are focusing on the rope in either ‘Spider-Man’ actor Tom Holland or ‘Dune’ star Timothee Chalamet to play the young Willy Wonka.

The character of Wonka was first brought to the screen by legendary actor Gene Wilder with the 1971 movie “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”.

Reportedly Chris Evan in talks to return as Captain America to the Marvel cinematic universe. However, Chris Evan has denied the rumors in his tweet. Chris Evan loved by millions of fans, he crushed too many hearts after denied returning to Marvel for another Captain America film.

Chris clears it on Twitter and ends the rumors. He wrote in a tweet “News to me” with ‘shrug’ emoji in another tweet, he was amused with all the reactions by fans . “some of the gif responses are priceless. good work everyone, He wrote.

Other celebrities reacted to his tweet. Jamie Lee, who plays his mother role in knives out, said “can I play your mother ? in every film you do?”

Billy Eichner wrote to his tweet that “I’ll do it”. He is ready to do the caption America role in the absence of Chris Evan.

Chris has often said that his days as Captain America are over. During recent on Graham Norton Show, he was asked that his period as Captain America was over for good.

He replied,” yes, I think it is. It was a great journey we went out on such a high note . It was such a good experience and I think it’s better left that way”.

He said “ it’s not a hard no, but it’s not an eager yes either. There are other things I am working on right now. If you are going to revisit it, What are we revealing? What are we added to the story?

It can’t be just the audience wants to excite. A lot of things would have to come together. It doesn’t feel, at this time, that would be a thing.”

The trailer for ‘To All the Boys: Always and Forever’, the third and final film in the popular trilogy based on Jenny Han’s young-adult novels was released on Wednesday. ‘To All the Boys: Always and Forever’ is coming to Netflix on February 12, 2021.

Directed by Michael Fimognari, the film stars are Lana Condor, Noah Centineo, Janel Parrish, Anna Cathcart, Ross Butler, Madeleine Arthur with Sarayu Blue, and John Corbett.

Speaking about the film, it follows Lara Jean Covey as she prepares for the end of high school and the start of adulthood, a pair of life-changing trips lead her to reimagine what life with her family, friends, and Peter (Noah Centineo) will look like after graduation.

Speaking about the same, Lana Condor said she feels like she’s graduating, too. USA Today quoted her as saying, “It’s really kind of a surreal moment. I get emotional. I’m really worried because I am not fully (prepared). My heart hurts to know that it’s ending, but also I’m really excited.”

The first two “To All the Boys” films orbited around Lara Jean’s relationships with the guys she likes, Condor said but in the final film “it’s really cool to kind of see her start to think about her future as an independent woman, regardless of whether or not maybe her relationships are going to follow with her.”

For Noah, however, Lara Jean and Peter represent “a very magical feeling of love with someone that you get very rarely in life, but you do get it. When people watch films, it reminds them or gives them hope that they will find that again or they will find that for the first time.”

The two Oscar winners Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem may have found their next roles in Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, respectively. Kidman, 53, and Bardem, 51, are in talks to portray the famous I Love Lucy co-stars and off-screen lovers in the movie Being the Ricardos.

The Trial of the Chicago 7‘s Aaron Sorkin wrote the script and will direct it for Amazon Studios. The meta Being the Ricardos movie will follow Ball and Arnaz during a challenging week of filming the 1950s TV show I Love Lucy. 

The plot starts during a Monday table read and ends with a TV shoot on Friday. It is in front of an audience. The couple’s children, Lucie Arnaz and Desi Arnaz Jr. will executive produce their parents’ official biopic.

Ball and Arnaz got married in 1940 before co-starring in the popular I Love Lucy, which ran from 1951 to 1957. They were divorced in 1960. In 2019, Lucie Arnaz spoke with” Good Morning America “about what she wanted the film to communicate with fans.

“It’s always been hard for me to really comprehend the baseness of what I grew up in and her popularity. It creates an enormous amount of pride,” she said, adding that the movie will depict “the good, the bad, the ugly but primarily the good.”

However, the project seems to have faced several shakeups. In 2018, she spoke with  The Hollywood Reporter about the honor of portraying the small screen legend. The Carol actress said, “I’ve long been obsessed by Lucille Ball.

Who hasn’t? I mean she’s not only as an actress, as a comedian, but as a producer, as a parent, as a force of nature within Hollywood.”

She also said gratefully, “You step onto a film set in America and the male and female washrooms on a film set are called by their name “Desi and Lucy”. Blanchett, 51, called the movie “a work in progress… but one I am very excited about.”

It’s unclear why Blanchett exited the project, though it seems that Amazon is preparing to officially replace her with Kidman, who recently made waves in Big Little Lies and The Undoing.

As for Bardem, the Skyfall actor is currently working on The Little Mermaid live-action film, in which he’ll star as the King Triton to Halle Bailey‘s Ariel.

The film is based on a true story and is one of those tales of hope and goodness that make you believe in miracles. And having an actor like Watts’ caliber intensify our faith in the movie a bit more. The Walking Dead actor Andrew Lincoln plays the role of Sam’s husband Cam.

“Based on the incredible true story, Penguin Bloom follows Sam Bloom (Academy Award-nominated Naomi Watts), a young mother whose world is turned upside down after a near-fatal accident leaves her unable to walk. As she learns to adapt to her new life, she finds hope in a beyond belief hero, a small bird named Penguin.

Penguin Bloom begins streaming on Netflix from January 27.
